Today in class we reviewed our American Revolution notes by highlighting important vocab and writing a memory trick on the left-hand side about the parent-child relationship in order to help us remember the significance of the French and Indian War. Remember: the British begin to impose “discipline” on the colonies after the war in order to help pay off the debt from the war.

We took short notes on how the colonists responded to British efforts to “discipline” them and then turned to the movie “John Adams” to better understand what led to the permanent split between the colonies and the “mother country.” We will continue the video next class.
